How things went
Brother Tay was born in Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1981 and started playing the piano when he was eight, mainly classical music. ‘Tay’ comes from his Polish first name, Mateusz, pronounced by most Dutch people as Mah-tay-oos, and ‘Brother’ expresses his identity as a Christian.
As a teenager, he moved into jazz and blues, and soon began composing beats on a Yamaha PSR-530 which his beloved parents had bought him. He later quit his piano lessons and occasionally made funky hip hop tracks with or without vocals.
Tay got born again in December 2010. PTL! In the summer of 2016, God called him to reach people through music. This includes rapping, singing, producing and songwriting.
